Went with my family for brunch. I got the Pine Ginger to drink, and for food, the Oxtail & Grits, shared the Banana baby French toast and ordered a side of scrambled eggs with cheese. The food was delicious, the music was good and the people serving were kind and happy. I highly recommend!

Small little place full of good vibes. Natasha adds to the experience by doing checking in on you throughout your meal. She is just wonderful, if you don't believe me then go see for yourself! The music is just amazing. The music makes you chair dance and sing along as they are classic R&B and Hip Hop. Now let's get to the food. Definitely a place for a foodie! I'm just going to let you look at what we ordered. Portions are generous just like mommy's. We are definitely returning!

FlamingoBaby Kitchen has been on my list to visit after reading their amazing Yelp reviews. This small yet quaint Black-owned restaurant by Chef Niki serves up New American with Southern & Caribbean influenced brunch cuisine. Opening in 2021 in Park Slope, FlamingoBaby is among the growing restaurants whose concept is to welcome and delight their guests during the day, closing their doors early. Sounds like work-life balance to me. There is outside seating. But no reservations. We enjoyed the food, cocktails, service, and chill vibes. Everything tasted fresh and yummy. We arrived at a good time, because the restaurant soon filled up and almost every party was celebrating a birthday, which included one of my brothers. There was a wait when we departed. We delighted in: CODFISH FRITTERS Served w/Sweet Chili Dipping Sauce FRIED CATFISH STRIPS Cornmeal Crusted & Served w/House Tartar Sauce ACKEE + SALTFISH Served w/Dumplings, Breadfruit, and Fried Sweet Plantain FRIED CATFISH STRIPS & WAFFLES FRIED SWEET PLANTAIN SPIKED SORREL Sorrel (Hibiscus) + Gin Infused. Mmmm... Bon Appetit! Cheers! Enjoy!

Such a great breakfast brunch spot. We got seated quickly, and had the friendliest waiters. Drinks and food took a bit to get delivered to the table, but it was all made to order and super fresh. I would definitely check this spot out.

I've been meaning to check this place out since October and finally had a chance to this month since I was attending a concert nearby. I was not disappointed. The inside was a bit small, but still very cozy and beautiful. I sat at the bar since I was alone. The staff was fun and friendly. Especially Chelsea, the bartender. She was so personable and kind. The food was excellent and I was so full I had to take the rest home. Even the left overs hit. I'd definitely be back.

Brunch certified! I've been dying to try Flamingobaby for a while but it's on the other side of BK so it wasn't easy to get to. Anywho, I finally made it there on a rainy Saturday. They don't do traditional bottomless, instead you order a pitcher. It was two of us so I ordered the mimosa pitcher and my cousin ordered the Bellini pitcher and we split them so we could both try it. For food, we got the biscuit and cornbread basket and fried salmon bites as appetizers. For entrees, we did the catfish & grits and the fried chicken & French toast. We shared all of our food and we loved it all! We usually do cousins dates with two other cousins who couldn't make it this time but we plan to go back with them! Beware, they don't take reservations so you'll likely be waiting for a while. Our estimated wait time was two hours but we were seated after 55 minutes. Mind you, this was a late brunch - 2:30pm and we still waited.

My friend and I decided to check out Flamingobaby Kitchen for brunch on a Sunday at 12:30pm. They do not take reservations, but Google estimated a 15 minute wait, and that was fine by me. My friend got there earlier than me and was quoted 30 minutes for a table. We checked in at about 1:10, and the staff informed us that the tables were turning slower because they were understaffed. There was one person for the entire restaurant. At first, I was going to give them 5 stars because that really sucks if people call out and you still have to operate, but when I looked at other reviews, long wait times are not an anomaly. The inside is small, so they can only seat about 10 parties at once. The ambiance is casual and the larger tables in the back have cozier seating options. We got the mini biscuit basket ($14), chicken and waffle with jerk chicken ($24), and Bananababy! stuffed french toast ($20). The biscuits were TINY yet delectable bites. These are the first biscuits I have had in NYC that were not dry. However, I think $14 is really overpriced because they are so small. The other dishes were definitely worth the price taste-wise and portion-wise. I would definitely recommend ordering a regular sized biscuit if it is something you wanted to try instead of the mini ones. The idea of the stuffed french toast is genius because french toast doesn't have a lot of flavor on its own and is pretty dry. Again, no problem with the price on this, but since it's a pretty heavy dish, I would prefer a smaller portion size for a lower price, which I still feel would be filling. My friend said that the jerk chicken was moist and that the dish was tasty as well. When we were waiting for the table, the hostess explained that it would take a while for someone to take our orders. Since all of this was said up front, I feel like it would be unfair to criticize the service too harshly. Everyone was sweet and friendly despite the stress of being understaffed. The food also came out within a reasonable time. The one issue I had was that the water refilling was slow, and heavy dishes need liquid to break it up! Overall, it was a great experience, and I would be interested in returning for brunch or to try their dinner service!

After trying to figure out what to have to breakfast, my boyfriend found this spot on Yelp when searching for "chicken and waffles" and after looking through the menu we decided to check it out. When we got there we were waiting less than 5 mins for a table. The Restaurant is small but super cozy and had a nice vibe to it. I started off with some coffee which was really good and we started with cod fritters. They were pretty flavorful but we weren't too crazy over them. For our mains I got the breakfast sandwich with turkey bacon and side of breakfast potatoes and my boyfriend got the chicken and waffles and Mac and cheese. Everything was soooo hot and fresh and everything was exploding with flavor. I was honestly so taken back how good everything was and we were talking about what else should we try when we come back. Totally worth coming. Highly recommend checking this place out for brunch.

Amazed at the portion size and the immaculate flavors that this place brings. Small and cozy and definitely slow in the kitchen but once the food came it was definitely worth the wait. The waitress was extremely nice and told us that everything is made fresh to order which is why it took a little longer. Everything was delicious. My favorite was the fried chicken, huge portion. Oxtail and shrimp roti was filled with flavor. The baked mac and cheese was delicious as well. Drinks were super strong . I would definitely be back.
